I am Kristie Dirks one of the interns of Campus Crusade for Christ South Africa. I had the privilege of joining the intern program at the beginning of this year.

It has been an amazing experience. The Lord has truly taught me so much. I have learned to trust Him to provide for my every need and to take every opportunity to share the vision of Campus Crusade for Christ with those around me.

I have gotten to know my fellow interns and they have truly become like family. I thank the Lord for them. It’s wonderful to know that there are others that understand what I am struggling with. The Lord has used them to encourage me in many many ways. They are a great support system.

I thank the Lord for all the senior staff. They have truly come around us and have helped me in so many ways. They taught me what successful witnessing looks like. It means going out and sharing your faith and leaving the results up to God. I was able to experience this first hand, when I went witnessing on the University Campus of Witwatersrand.

I was able to use the Four spiritual laws to share my faith with a young girl. She accepted Christ into her life. Unfortunately due to it being exam season we haven’t been able to meet yet, but I hope to follow up with her next term.

I have also realized that ministry isn’t always easy, but it is worth it. Even when it doesn’t go like I hoped or when the students cancel on me. I have realized that God is still in control and He will continue to pursue them. He loves them more than I ever could.
