Global Church Movement

We strive to inspire vision and action in the church and train and equip multiplying leaders, so that they can equip their congregations in evangelism and discipleship. We want to promote strategic partnerships and provide new ideas, tools, and strategies to encourage members to grow in their faith and outreach.

PASTORS MISSION AND LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE SOUTH AFRICA

In my meeting with Dr Tariku in early 2025, we talked about hosting the Pastors Mission and Leadership Conference in South Africa for the very first time. This came as a dream to me, but it was not but reality, I thought this is too big for me but I forgot that nothing is too big for our God!

I then received an invitation from Eswatini last December (2025) to attend the Pastors Conference and I used that opportunity to learn how they organised such a big conference, then coming back home I decided to start immediately as I had about 5 months to plan this conference, thanks to God, my leadership, me staff and Volunteers who made sure that this conference becomes reality in our country – thanks again to our Doners who contributed the funds for this conference!

The target for this conference was Rustenburg church Leaders and believers around Rustenburg, but with the resistant I got from the local pastors, God did the amazing thing as doors were opened for church leaders from the 8 provinces of South Africa, some travelled as far as 1200 kms return trips, with almost 200 people attended the Pastors Mission and Leadership Conference at Rustenburg Civic Centre in the North West Province of South Africa.

We had the honour of having CCCSA National Leader (Chris Dirks), Jesus Film Team (Mike, Fannie & Clinton La Foy), Mothers Who Care Gauteng Leader (Heleen Kelber), Widows Ministry and Internship Leader (Gracious),GCM Provincial Leaders from six different provinces – this was great in deed but we were blessed by having three leaders coming from Namibia and Uganda.

Dr Tariku Fufa Gemechu as the main speaker of the conference – he specifically spent not less than nine hours in the three-day conference teaching on “HOLISTIC ETHICAL LEADERSHIP” from his book which is given to every person who attended the conference:

Leading Holistically and Ethically Self, Individuals, Groups, Organizations, and Societies
 – This was addressed to the church leaders who came in numbers to hear what God has in store for them.

The 7 Dimensions of Human Life:

Why Holistic Ethical Leadership?

  1. Human Life Has multiple dimensions that needs growth
    • Luke 2:40 “And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom. And the favor of God was upon him.”
    • Luke 2: 52 “And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.”
    • 1 Timothy 4: 12 “…set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
  1. The Church needs to Grow healthy in the 7 dimensions (1 Tim 4: 6-16; Acts 20: 28; Psalm 72:78)
    • Some churches are Spiritually doing well, but Financially poor. Yet some churches are rich financially but spiritually poor.
    • Some churches are mentally good teaching sound doctrines, yet socially experiencing moral decay, are divided, and full of conflicts.
    • It is possible for church health to be disintegrated, healthy one one side, while terribly malfunctioning the other side.

The flock, followers of Christ, in your church Daily Face the following:

  • Physical Problems: Lack of basic Food, Clean Water, Shelter, etc
  • Spiritual Challenges: Lack of disciplers, role models, not practicing, ETC.
  • Mental Crisis: False Teachings, False Prophecy, Lack of Sound doctrine, etc.
  • Emotional Instability: War, Displacement, Rape, Exploitation, Loneliness, etc
  • Social Crisis: Moral decay, family crisis, conflicts, divisions, Political, etc.
  • Psychological attack: Dehumanization, negative narration, victimization, etc.
  • Financial problems: Lacking work ethics, consuming culture, selfishness, etc.
  1. The church imitates the character and ethics of its leaders. Thus, the church can not rise above the character of its leaders.
    • Upper Echelon Theory confirms this!
    • The church leaders should imitate the character and ethics of Christ, because the members imitate them naturally (1Chornthians 11:1; 4:16; 1 Thes 1:6; 2:14; Heb 6:12)
  1. The Fruitfulness a leader can not exceed the level of his/her growth.
    • The more you are pruned, the more you are producing ( John 15:2)
  1. Successful failure leaders are everywhere. Be careful!
    • 1 Cor 9: 24-27, Paul emphasizes, “…25Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26So I do not run aimlessly; … 27But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
    • Today:
      • How many leaders started well? but Failed to finish well?
      • How many leaders fell short of the plan of God for and through their lives?
      • How many leaders are regretting running their race without self-discipline and self-control?

What is Holistic ethical leadership?

  • Holistic Ethical Leadership is: An ethical influence process that brings about physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, social, psychological, and financial sense of wholeness to oneself and others.

What is Ethics?

One of the big questions that was asked…

  • Doing the Right thing
  • Doing in the right way
  • Doing at the right time

THREE ASPECTS OF ETHICS:

  • Ethics of a person/Leader – 1 Samuel 12: 3 – 5 (holy, righteous, authentic, Christlike behaviors)
  • Ethics of Means – Matt 20: 25-28, Rom 12: 9-21; Col 3:23 (policies, procedures, processes, Guidelines we follow to make decisions)
  • Ethics of Ends – 1 Cor 10: 3; 1 Cor 12: 31 – 13: 1-8; Phil 2: 1-5 (Goals, Objectives, and Results we want to achieve)

The testimonies I got from the church leaders who attended the conference is only the positive ones, as many leaders were highly challenged by the teaching and they believe this kind of teaching is highly needed in our time.

GCM South Africa – We are happy that many pastors were exposed to CCC and many of its strategies and how we can collaborate for the sake of the fulfilment of the Great Commission.
