CrossRoads is an excellent strategy that can be used to touch the lives of young people. By teaching the “Life at the CrossRoads” (LATC) curriculum in schools and establishing youth clubs in communities, the program creates positive affiliations for youth, equipping them to be individuals of good character. CrossRoads Clubs aim to equip young individuals to become men and women of good character, striving to be lifelong influences for good within their families, schools, communities, and countries.
At the beginning of 2023, Keontse approached a local Church leader with a proposal to start a community youth club at church in Hillside view, Bloemfontein. The leader agreed and the club was established, and the local youth were invited to participate in weekly meetings. Interestingly, most of those who attended were over 18 years, including university students who were interested on engaging in Bible studies on campus.
In August 2023, four members from the youth club, including one teacher and three students, had the opportunity to attend CrossRoads TT. This event provided them with further training and inspiration to continue their impactful work within their community. The environment fostered by the youth club allowed the students to become active participants and are boldly sharing their faith and discipling others.
