Christmas often stirs controversy, surrounded by excesses of spending, indulgence, and debates over its date. Yet, as followers of Jesus Christ, it holds profound significance—a day to honour and reflect on the birth of our Lord and Saviour.

From December 6th to 10th, 2023, our team held the first Staff Conference in six years. Hosted by the Gauteng team, the event took place at the Pure Joy Lodge and Conference Centre, nestled 20 kilometres away from the city on Moloto Road.

This month, with hearts filled with gratitude and reverence, we gather to pay homage to an extraordinary woman whose unwavering dedication laid the cornerstone of Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) in South Africa—Mary-Jean Tempelhoff.

Over the years, Gerda Snyman and Marais Koeglenberg’s commitment has been focused on yearly outreach initiatives, primarily conducted in harbours throughout Spain, Italy, and France. Their goal? To offer gift packages to North African travellers heading back home for their summer holidays.
