The Art of Marriage

They have made a commitment to stay pure until marriage, since that is God’s plan. That was one comment from an unmarried couple who attended the Art of Marriage weekend seminar presented by Family Life, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. There is so much pressure on people today to wait with intimacy until they are married and this course might help them identify the real purpose of marriage and why God’s plan is indeed perfect.

Two such seminars have been hosted by the Family Life team this year and seven couples from all walks of life and cultures have attended. Two unmarried couples attended the seminar to prepare for their upcoming weddings and life commitments.

The Art of Marriage is a video event combining dramatic stories, real-life testimonies, expert interviews, humorous vignettes and other teaching methods to present God’s design for marriage in a fresh, engaging way.  It teaches couples the importance of unifying a relationship, rather than drifting into natural habits of isolation.  There are six sessions that cover topics like the purpose of marriage, isolation, the different roles, communication, romance etc.

The next Art of Marriage seminars will be hosted on 25,26 June and 20,21 August. A six-week online course will be presented from 3 August 2021.

Other seminars and projects are also presented like Preparing for Marriage and talks and discussions on blended families are held with couples on request. Materials to help with parenting like Passport to Purity are also available.
