Discipleship during Covid-19

The Bloemfontein team started with a discipleship group at the office when offices opened again for work after the first lockdown. The team wanted to introduce a new member Allison, to the team and to our materials. Although the team is familiar with the materials it is always good to work through it and everyone got a chance to lead the group.

The team was reminded not to use spiritual or Christian “jargon” and to explain the principles in practical terms. For example how do you help someone to have assurance of their salvation?

It is the work of the Holy Spirit to convict someone and not our duty. Here are some questions that can be asked:

Did you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?
Where is Jesus now in relation to yourself?
How many times do you have to accept Jesus into your life?
When Jesus comes into your life, what do we receive according to 1 John 5:12
Can we know for certain that Jesus is in your life according to 1 John 5:13?

It was very exciting to do ministry again in person after the lockdown and observe how the disciples lead the study. All honour to our Lord.
