From the 8th to the 10th of August, CrossRoads Bloemfontein held a Teachers Training at the University of the Free State (UFS). The gathering brought together teachers, health professionals, community youth workers, and students—all with one heart: to be equipped to make a lasting impact in their communities.
The training focused on empowering participants to guide young people in making wise and positive life choices. At the heart of the programme was the message that Jesus Christ is the ultimate role model of good character and hope. Participants were encouraged not only to teach but to live out these values in their everyday lives, shining as examples to the next generation.
We praise the Lord for the dedicated facilitators who served wholeheartedly:
- Marais Koegelenberg – CrossRoads National Team Leader and Lead Trainer
- Dr. Ann Klienhans – Medical Doctor and Lead Trainer
- Keontse Selesanyeng
- Portia Ngxangane
- Emmanuel Mothae
- Blaise Bukasa
- Keaoleboga Gaegake
A special word of gratitude goes to the Faculty of Theology and Religion at UFS, whose partnership and support were instrumental in making this event a success. By providing not only an excellent venue but also warm and practical assistance, the Faculty demonstrated its commitment to nurturing initiatives that strengthen character, faith, and leadership among young people. Their collaboration highlights the value of the church, academia, and community working together toward the common goal of transforming lives.
As participants return to their schools, clinics, campuses, and communities, we trust that the seeds planted during these three days will continue to grow—multiplying impact and bringing hope where it is needed most.
To God be the glory for this fruitful training!
