“The Jesus Film brings the story to life in ways that transcend written communication. This is true especially in oral cultures-places where written communication is scarce. When people see the life of Jesus portrayed on screen, it is life-changing”.
Project Highlights:
- Campus Crusade for Christ South Africa’s 50th Celebrations: The Jesus Film Project celebrates being part of this legacy for the past 38 years, reaching millions with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
- Training and Equipment Allocations: A large part of the team’s focus is to train and help missionaries and church planters with equipment. Equipment went recently to Mozambique, Malawi, and Botswana and one missionary from a closed country in Eastern Europe were assisted and trained. Here is Mike and Ike with some of the equipment.
- Walking with Jesus – the Cape Afrikaans Premier: Twenty leaders in Kimberley, Northern Cape attended this event. Why in Afrikaans? Well there are 6.2 million people in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Botswana that speak Afrikaans.
- Volunteer Service and Repair Day: A group of nine volunteers from congregation in the East of Johannesburg joined the Jesus Film team to do repairs. Five generators were fixed and ready for the mission field.
