For the first time this year, the LeaderImpact ministry could get together for some fellowship and outreach at the Irene Country Lodge on 20 November 2020. Despite the heavy rains, more than 40 people attended. Some of the disciples who got involved through our online ministry gave their testimonies of how God has changed them and how important it is to support and encourage each other through a pandemic like we have this year.
The National LeaderImpact team leader, Geoff Shave, gave a very encouraging talk on our intentions and attitudes for the future.
Do we want to have a life like a sportscar that could go fast, reaches its destination quickly and might be a car for a certain season? Or do we have a life like that of a bus, where it goes far, takes longer to reach our destination but we take a lot of people with us? Having a lot of fun on the way.
I really had to rethink my intentions and attitude and realised that I need to get on that bus as soon as possible. There are so many people that I would like to invite to come away with me on my journey of getting to know and serve God. Are you on a bus or in a sportscar? “Changing the world takes leaders like you.”
Pray for perseverance for this journey and the people who should go along.
